[News] Kim Hyun Joong braves the waves on ‘Barefoot Friends’

Kim Hyun Joong took a brave step forward on the latest episode of SBS’ travel variety program, ‘Barefoot Friends’.

During their voyage in Indonesia, the cast members traveled to a remote island to try and capture some of the famed Indonesian rock shrimp. However, along the way, they encountered a perilous cable car journey between two rocky outcrops. Traveling between two flimsy ropes above a whirlpool-filled ocean, the members had to pull the car themselves to get across the ocean.

Despite what looked like a treacherous crossing, Kim Hyun Joong volunteered to be the first one up to bat. Greeting the camera, he stoically said, “Thank you to everyone who followed Kim Hyun Joong for the past years”, before taking a figurative leap of faith on the cable.

Although afraid at first, the entrancing vista of the ocean waves and the horizon soon pushed any fear from his mind as he whooped in surprise. “The view is incredible,” he told his fellow team members once he had safely crossed. “It’s not that hard.”

I can see how much hardship he had gone throughout the day by the receipt on his hand, which was soaked with his sweat. After the work, Kim Hyun Joong s back was stained by a lot of marks of the gendong. His back looked huge than usual. It looks like a superhero’s back, smeared with sweat and dirt, and that hurt me. I hope the show program will be well worth Kim Hyun Joong‘s sweat of the day. I hope Barefoot Friends will fight well”

Barefoot Friends’s rating is not good so far but through this show, Kim Hyun Joong‘s effort was worth it.

Kim Hyun Joong moved people and made them get to know real Kim Hyun Joong I think this is one big step.

He said he will lives life to the max, then I will enjoy Barefoot Friends to the max, since he is doing his best for his fans in the show.

UEE and Kim Hyun Joong parody ‘Wind Blows in Winter’ on ‘Barefoot Friends’

The resident actor and actress on SBS’s ‘Barefoot Friends’ stepped into impromptu roles in a parody of ‘Wind Blows in Winter’ on the latest episode.

Traveling to Indonesia, the newest broadcast found the cast and crew given the mission, once again, to survive for 24 hours in the foreign country based on only what they could provide for themselves as a normal, everyday person.

Egged on by Kang Ho Dong and Yoon Jong Shin, UEE and Kim Hyun Joong ended up working together – providing the small screen with a beauty ratio that was simply out of this world.

Taking advantage of the unique opportunity, Kang Ho Dong told them, “The two of you look like a painting. We’ll get out of the way” – secretly letting them do all the work.

Motivations aside, UEE and Kim Hyun Joong soon found themselves engrossed in the job at hand, segueing into a parody of the SBS drama, ‘Work Blows in Winter’.

“I have a lot of money, but I came here to help oppa,” UEE told him. “If you have a lot of money, give me some. Please stop this,” Kim Hyun Joong replied in a drama tone.

[News] Kim Hyun Joong suffers from hard labour on “Barefoot Friends”

Kim Hyun Joong finally ‘exploded’ because of the intense labour!

In the recent episode of SBS’s “Barefoot Friends”, Kim Hyun Joong’s mission was to live like a normal Indonesian for 24 hours. Kim Hyun Joong earned the most out of his team, by doing labour such as carrying heavy baskets loaded with fruits. Although the amount he has earned is enough to make him a rich man in Indonesia, however, in order to make a saving even after paying for accomodation and food, Kim Hyun Joong worked until late night.

Kang Ho Dong and JongShin used excuses such as “a handsome person does everything handsomely” to make Kim Hyun Joong work. To this, Kim Hyun Joong finally “exploded” and through his hat onto the floor, causing members to burst into laughter.

Kim Hyun Joong had to earn the money for accommodation and meals but his work has never finished until late at night.

When Kang Ho Dong and Yun Jong Shin even shined up to Kim Hyun Joong like “You are still good looking whatever you do!” in order to put him to work continually, Kim Hyun Joong sprinkled water on himself acting like losing his mind, and finally threw his hat into the ground which made all the members burst out laughing.

UEE joked that her ideal type changed after ‘Barefoot Friends‘!

On the 12th’s episode, the cast of the variety show went over to Indonesia, and were challenged to various tasks. While working at the fruit market, Kim Hyun Joong made the most money out of the entire group, and the rest of them tried to appeal to him by offering their praises.

However, UEE beat out everyone with her praise when she announced, “I don’t know if this is okay to say… But my ideal type changed after I started ‘Barefoot Friends’ to Hyun Joong oppa!“. Kim Hyun Joong took up the praise right away and remarked, “Okay, UEE!” and handed her the bills, causing the rest of them to crack up.

In the episode of SBS’s Barefoot Friends broadcast on May 12, the cast visited Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Their mission was to act as gendong, or Indonesian porters, in order to earn their daily wage.

Kim Hyun Joong earned the largest amount of money and other members of the cast drew laughter by trying to curry favor with him.

Yoon Si Yoon was criticized by other cast members when he said, “Actually, at first I wasn’t interested in joining the cast of Barefoot Friends but changed my mind when I heard Kim Hyun Joong was going to be on the show.” Uee used flattery on Kim, saying, “My ideal type has been changed since the show began: Kim is my ideal man now.”

When i heard that Hyun Joong will be filming in Indonesia, i just wwwaaaawww!!!! Jumping and so happy for me!!! Imagine that he'll be here for 4 days 3 night!!! Okeh... back to the topic i wanna go to Jogja with Rina eonnie (@hyunited6686) and prepare some luggage if i will go to Jogja....

But, poor me, i can't leave my work office here, seriously it makes me hurt!!! I send my whatssapp to Rina eonnie that i can't go!!! T.T For the 10 minutes past, Marcia eonnie has called me, she said she wanna go to the airport to met Kim Hyun Joong that he'll be landing for the first time in Indonesia. I know she always can met Kim Hyun Joong, she's daebak eonnie!!! As i said, i answered i can't go..... Gosssssshhhh!!!
So hurt!!!! I just crying bcause i can't go... T.T

I just got a mental breakdown because i've failed to met him until the last day from that i feel... But, a miracle come to me!!!!!! Marcia eonnie just invited me to stalk Hyun Joong at Soekarno Hatta airport on this day!!! Because his flight from Jogja is 10 p.m only transit and at 11.20 p.m to Seoul. So, i accepted!!! I just leaved my office earlier just wanna to see him!!!!!!! I called Marcia eonnie and met up at Gambir Station because she just arrived from his work office. We met up at Starbucks there at 7 p.m he bought her two daughter, Nadia and Acha.. :) Oke... go..go... on the way to Soekarno Hatta airport!!!

Preparing a gift from me to Hyun Joong ssi... Here it's...

Kyaaaaaaa.... seriously i met him when he was arrived from Jogja and prepare to Seoul!!! His flight to Seoul 11.20 p.m. He still at Lotte Duty Free at there, me and marcia eonnie had approached him!!!! I just said "Hyun Joong ssi, this is for you and hope you like it" He just said "Oh, really? Thank you.. (He smiled a lot to me!!!!! We just 15 cm only just chit chat as some people usual!!!! I can't believe this, my gift directly on his hands!!!! He still fresh!!! Smiling a lot!!! His prounounce really good, Me and Marcia eonnie had went to lounge with Hyun Joong and Barefoot Friend staff except Yoon Shi Yeon because he's still in Yogya. He had took a bath there and i just still waiting him with Marcia eonnie there!! I met ahlia team there too...

already to prepared to Seoul!!! Me and Marcia eonnie still there and i just said "Take care Hyun Joong ah... jalgaaaaaa...!!!" He said with his scanning eyes to me.. "Thank you so much" (Smiled againnnn.... but unlucky i can't took a picture with him, my battery and Marcia eonnie battery almost die!!! We're not bring camera too...eisssshhh... stupid me!!!) Marcia eonnie screamed to him "Hyun Joong ahhhhhh....." Hyun Joong really saw us and wave his hand to us!!!! Gossssshhhh... this is my birthday present on 26th May soon... still can't believe face to face with him and i talked with him still chit chat with him!!!!!

[News] Kim Hyun Joong and Yoon Si Yoon danced Girl’s Generation, showing their charms

The SBS series Good Sunday—Barefoot Friends, in which the cast get along well with the natives of Indonesia, will be aired in May 12. In the series, the the cast are given the mission of living like the natives for 24 hours. To fulfill their mission, they visit a produce market in Yogyakarta at dawn. They try their hand at the work of carrying things piggyback, called gendong in the Indonesian language.

Wandering around the produce market, the barefoot friends compete against each other to get hired. Kim Hyun Joong and Yoon Si Yoon sing “GEE,” a Girl’s Generation song, and dance together to capture the attention of a girl who is the daughter of the owner of an apple shop. All the people laugh at them.

Barefoot Friends is a reality show that takes the cast (Kang Ho Dong, Yoon Jong Shin, Kim Hyun Joong, Kim Bum Soo, Yoo Se Yoon, Yoon Si Yoon, Eun Hyuk of Super Junior, and UEE of Aftershool) to places around the world and has them try to live like the locals.
