[News] Jung Jun Ha and Kang Ho Dong have a eating contest on ‘Barefoot Friends’
What happens when two of Korea’s biggest eaters get together — in a show about finding the best food? Viewers got the answer on the latest episode of ‘Barefoot Friends‘, where guest Jung Jun Ha showed up to challenge Kang Ho Dong in a battle of guts (literally)!
With the show recently embarking on a project to discover the best homemade food, the stage was set for an ‘eating battle’ of epic proportions. It began small — a contest to see who could eat the biggest spoonful of food at a time — but gradually ascended. By the end of the episode, the two heavyweights were scarfing down lettuce wraps bigger than UEE‘s face!

[News]‘Barefoot Friends’ holds a concert to show off songs from their songwriting project
The cast of ‘Barefoot Friends‘ proudly displayed their compositions from their songwriting project with a special concert!
Teaming up with famous producers such as Epik High to be their mentors, the cast soon became engrossed in songwriting. The episode also featured the processes by which the cast members built up their own songs. While some members tried to gain inspiration from their past, others looked within themselves and their friends to dig up tidbits of interesting life stories. Kang Ho Dong was the first to stand on the stage with special guest A Pink‘s Eunji, belting out a hip-hop composition to the cheers of the audience and their mentors.
The concert will continue into next week’s episode, so don’t forget to tune in to ‘Barefoot Friends’ next week! In the meantime, don’t forget to catch this week’s episode below [the concert begins near the end of the show].

Barefoot Friends’ Kim Hyun Joong “I want to live as myself and not as an entertainer just for one day” As Kim Hyun Joong was looking at the peaceful nighttime view of the sea, he confessed that he wants to live as himself and not as an entertainer just for one day.
Afterwards, he gave an example such as when a restaurant owner gave him rolled up eggs on the house after recognizing him. “It was just a bad timing. I was too full to eat, but if I hadn’t eaten it then I would’ve felt bad.”
Further, he mentioned “If I were not me only for one day…it’s not that I’m not grateful..just want to be less grateful only for one day.” One can only imagine the predicament of being an entertainer.
However, Kim Hyun Joong expressed his desire to write lyrics showing this kind of candid feelings in his own song. After singing the song, he “again wants to live with gratitude,” in which one can see how much he values his life as an entertainer.

[News] Idols dive into action on ‘Barefoot Friends’
Numerous top-tier idols made their appearance on the latest episode of SBS‘s ‘Barefoot Friends‘, where they went against the cast members in a diving competition!
The cast had been training in the sport of competitive diving for the past few weeks. Idol competitors included: 2PM‘s Junho, Nichkhun, Wooyoung, Taecyeon, and Jun.K,2AM‘s Jo Kwon, SISTAR‘s Soyu, Dasom, Hyorin, and Bora, INFINITE‘s Dongwoo,Woohyun, L, Sungjong, and Hoya, MBLAQ‘s Lee Joon, and finally, Rainbow‘s No Eul,Jaekyung, Woori, and Yoonhye (phew!).
With the majority of the competition happening next week, don’t forget to tune in to ‘Barefoot Friends’ for the exciting conclusion!

Singer Kim Hyun Joong made the same age’s actor Yoo Si Yoon sweat.
SBS’s ‘I Love Sunday – Barefoot Friends’ (BFF) which will be aired on this coming 16th, will reveal the story that BFF members and the guest Lee Hyori had a get-together at Jiri mountain.
During the filming, Kim Hyun Joong and YSY went to out to the village to get something to eat along with rice for dinner. Right after leaving the house, Kim Hyun Joong asked a point-blank question to YSY if he had have a girlfriend recently.
Before YSY realized, he already answered and that made YSY ‘mentally collapse’ (*’멘붕’ is short for ‘mental collapse’ which is a buzzword in Korea these days). Since YSY got dragged into Kim Hyun Joong’s continuous questions, YSY confessed his ideal type and past girlfriend(s?) as well, which had the staff totally stumped too.
Besides, these two guys held a ‘mini ideal worldcup’, ‘who’s your favorite’ between the BFF female cast Lee Hyori and Uee. The same age friends even forgot their task ‘to get something to eat’ and enjoyed a long talk.
Kim Hyun Joong and Yoo Si Yoon’s direct and outspoken talk about love stories will be revealed on BFF on coming 16th at 4:50 PM.

BFF Updates: [News] Eun Ji Won to Replace Yoo Se Yoon In BF – 2013.06.10
Amid a drunk driving scandal, Yoo Se Yoon will be departing his new SBS variety program, ‘Barefoot Friends’, to be replaced by artist and comedian Eun Ji Won.
“Eun Ji Won’s addition was decided upon when Yoo Se Yoon chose to depart from ‘Barefoot Friends’,” said a broadcast industry worker. The former member did not participate in the recording on June 9th. According to official word from SBS, it was still up in the air whether or not Yoo Se Yoon will be returning. However, according to the latest reports, Eun Ji Won will indeed be a permanent replacement.
“The producers and Eun Ji Won’s representatives are working out the details on his first appearance and how he will be added to the program,” the worker said.
As Eun Ji Won has had previous experience on an outdoor variety program with Kang Ho Dong on ’1 Night 2 Days’, much anticipation is being placed on how the new addition will boost the newest variety show on the block.

[News] Kim Hyun Joong to reveal his house for the first time on ‘Barefoot Friends’
Are you curious on how Kim Hyun Joong lives?
Well, if so, you’re in for a treat if you tune into an upcoming episode of SBS‘ ‘Barefoot Friends‘. The members of ‘Barefoot Friends’ visited Kim Hyun Joong’s house and they were impressed with its clean and chic interior.
When he took them into his walk-in closet, the members tried on his clothes and put on an impromptu fashion show. He apparently even had clothes that fit Lee Hyori and UEE, making the pair wonder why he had female clothes in his closet.
The episode will air on the 9th, so make sure you don’t miss it!
